I had the honor of planning and designing the wedding of my brother Scott and his wife Jenny at the end of March. They wanted a casual wedding at our parents house but it being March in New England, an outdoor wedding wasn’t going to happen. So instead, I told them I’d transform the garage since our parent’s is the perfect size for an intimate wedding. I had a specific vision and was determined to make it happen.
The first order of business was to transform the garage into an intimate wedding venue with draping…a lot of draping. To keep with the casual vibe, I decided to go with a rustic theme which was ideal because I have a lot of stuff that’s perfect for it. After looking around online to decide what I wanted to do for rentals, I came across Boston Rustic Wedding Rentals and went to visit their showroom in Hopkinton. I absolutely loved their wooden reel tables! They were really cool, tied in great with what I was going for, and they didn’t need linens which was a plus. I also rented a Wine Barrel Table from them that we used as the Beverage and Dessert Station but I missed getting a picture of it.
I loved every minute of designing this wedding. The draping was a lot of work but with the help of Jenny and her mom we got it done. The string lights, paper lanterns and blue uplighting really helped with the overall feel of the room. The wedding was beautiful, Jenny was stunning, and Scott was all smiles. I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness. Welcome to our family Jenny!
