I’m so excited to be writing this post! Back in September I shared a post of some signs I made using my new cutting machine. I really enjoyed making those and decided I really wanted to start a new “home” line within my business. Once I really started researching just what I could do with this, I realized there were so many possibilities. Have you ever been on Pinterest and before you knew it an hour (or more) had gone by because you discovered all of these amazing things and were pinning away? Well, that’s how I was with this, except I wasn’t on Pinterest. My brain was in overdrive and so many things were going through my head that I had to make a list as I thought of them. Lucky for me this was right around Thanksgiving so I took advantage of the sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday and ordered a bunch of new supplies and got to work. Can I tell you how much I love Amazon Prime?!
I had the table in my studio covered in paper to prep, paint and stain signs and I had my machine (and all the supplies) on my dining room table. Good thing we have a table in our kitchen to actually eat at! Since it was the holiday season, and I absolutely LOVE the holidays, I decided to start by making some Christmas and holiday decor for myself and have to say that I love every piece. Because of my excitement to get started, some designs I purchased in the Silhouette store while others I designed myself. Most of these are signs but I also included a custom chalkboard and a glass block that I made. I made another glass block that was a gift for someone but forgot to take a picture before giving it to them. It was super cute too, with little snowmen on it with “let it snow” below them and snowflakes above and white twinkle lights inside. I also did a bunch of other projects that were mostly gifts but I’ll put those in a different post.
